Chocolate Banana Smoothie

This Chocolate Banana Smoothie is filled with bananas, oats, cocoa, and nut butter. This breakfast smoothie is full of good for you ingredients, but tastes like a healthy chocolate milkshake.

Ingredients

  • 1 large banana frozen
  • ½ cup milk
  • cup rolled oats
  • 1 ½ Tbsp nut butter
  • 1 Tbsp cocoa powder
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp chocolate chips Mini, Optional for garnish

Instructions

  1. Peel and freeze the banana 2 hours before use (or overnight).
  2. Blend all ingredients in a blender until smooth.
  3. Pour the blended smoothie into your glass for serving. Garnish with chocolate chips, and enjoy!

Notes

  • Store leftover smoothies in the refrigerator for up to 3 days in a covered container.
  • * Any milk can be used, whole milk will make for a creamier smoothie. Vegan milk works well too.
  • *Almond or peanut butter both work great for this recipe!
  • For a thinner smoothie, add a few extra tablespoons of milk until you reach your desired consistency.
