Chocolate Truffles Recipe

This Chocolate Truffles recipe blends semi-sweet chocolate chips with creamy peanut butter and cool whip to create smooth, rich truffles. After melting and mixing the ingredients, the chilled mixture is formed into balls and coated with toppings like powdered sugar, coconut, or nuts for added texture. The chilled nature of the truffles keeps them firm and makes them ideal for serving as small dessert bites or party treats.

Description

The Chocolate Truffles Recipe features a combination of melted semi-sweet chocolate chips, creamy peanut butter, and room temperature cool whip. These ingredients are mixed to create a smooth, creamy chocolate base. After refrigeration to firm the mixture, it is rolled into small balls approximately the size of a rounded tablespoon. Each ball is then rolled in a coating such as powdered sugar, shredded coconut, or chopped nuts to add a contrasting texture and flavor. The truffles are stored chilled to maintain their firm texture and refreshing melt-in-the-mouth consistency. This recipe offers a no-bake method, suitable for preparing bite-sized treats that are rich but balanced by the peanut butter and airy cool whip. The toppings add customization options and some crunch or sweetness on the outside.

Ingredients

Servings
  • 12 ounces semi sweet chocolate chips
  • ½ cup peanut butter creamy
  • 8 ounces Cool Whip left out to room temperature
  • toppings, as desired

Instructions

  1. Pour the chocolate chips into a microwave-safe bowl, then fill a mug half full of water and place both the bowl and mug at opposite ends of the microwave. Stop and stir the chocolate chips every 30 seconds until completely melted.
  2. Add the peanut butter and mix well. Then thoroughly mix in the cool whip.
  3. Refrigerate for at least two hours until your chocolate mixture becomes firm enough to handle. Roll the mixture into balls (about the size of a rounded tablespoon).
  4. Then roll the balls into powdered sugar, coconut, or nuts, or dip in chocolate. Return the balls to the fridge. They taste the best if they stay refrigerated.
