Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 6 oz unsweetened baking chocolate softened
  • 2/3 cup light corn syrup
  • 2 cups chopped walnuts
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 8 large eggs
  • 2 cups brown sugar firmly packed
  • 1 cup unsalted butter

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 Degrees F. Grease a 9 X 13 X 2-inch baking pan.
  2. Melt the chocolate on top of a double boiler and set aside.
  3. Mix the sugars, corn syrup, and butter together but do not cream. You can use a whisk or a spatula.
  4. Add the eggs, one at a time. Slowly pour in the chocolate, blending well.
  5. Add the flour, beating with a whisk until smooth. Fold in the walnuts.
  6. Spread the batter in the prepared pan and bake for 25 to 30 minutes.
  7. Place the pan on a wire rack and allow it to cool completely before cutting it into squares.
