Ingredients
For the Wraps:
- 1 head butter lettuce or romaine lettuce
- 3 packets Good Catch Foods Tuna
- 1 large carrot peeled into ribbons
- 1 large red pepper sliced
- 1/4 cup green onions roughly chopped
- a handful of fresh cilantro
For the Sauce:
- 1 tbsp. fresh ginger grated
- 2 cloves of garlic grated
- 1 1/2 tbsp. soy sauce or coconut aminos
- 2 tbsp. sesame oil and seeds
- Juice of half a lime
- 1 tbsp. rice wine vinegar
- 2 tbsp. vegetable oil
- 2 tbsp. maple syrup
Instructions
- To a medium-sized bowl add your Good Catch Foods Tuna and all your sauce ingredients. Using a fork, lightly mash up the stir and combine everything well. Set aside to marry for 15 minutes before assembling your lettuce wraps.
- While you wait prepare all your vegetables of choice and set aside.
- To build your lettuce wraps, I like to add 2-3 pieces of butter lettuce or 1 piece of romaine as the base, then begin filling with veggies + tuna!
- Enjoy like you would a taco (butter lettuce) or pizza (romaine lettuce).
Notes
- You can also add ingredients like avocado and cucumber to the wraps!
- When adding the tuna to the lettuce, be sure to remove as much liquid as possible to prevent your lettuce from going soggy. If you're planning on eating them right away then that won't be a problem. This would be a bigger issue if platting ahead of time for guests or a party.
- Sauce + Tuna mixture will last up to 1 week in the fridge in a tightly sealed container.
