Easy Chicken Tikka Masala
Description
This Chicken Tikka Masala preparation begins by browning cubed chicken breast in coconut oil, locking in juices and adding a slight caramelization. The aromatics—onion, garlic, and grated ginger—are sautéed next to build depth and fragrance before adding a blend of traditional spices including garam masala, cayenne, chili powder, and cumin. The tomato sauce introduces acidity and body, balanced with coconut milk for creaminess without dairy.
The curry is simmered on medium-low heat to gently cook the chicken through while allowing flavors to combine thoroughly. The texture is smooth and saucy with tender chicken pieces suspended in the spiced sauce, which has a gentle heat from the cayenne pepper. Fresh cilantro adds a herbal brightness as garnish.
Serve the dish alongside steamed Basmati rice and warm naan bread to soak up the sauce and complete the meal. This dish provides a comforting, richly flavored curry that can fit into various meal plans.
