Easy Roasted Onions

This scrumptious oven roasted onions recipe transforms simple ingredients into wonderfully seasoned caramelized onions that are a delicious side dish for so many meals.

Ingredients
- 8 small yellow onions peeled
- 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
- 2 teaspoons Italian seasoning
- 1 teaspoon sea salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 8 tablespoons butter unsalted
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400° F (200° C)
- Cut both ends off of each onion and place them in a 9x13 baking dish.
- Drizzle about ¼ teaspoon of balsamic over top of each onion and then sprinkle each with the Italian seasoning, salt and pepper.
- Place a tablespoon of butter on top of each onion.
- Place in the preheated oven on the middle rack and bake for 40-45 minutes until soft. (you may need to add more time for larger onions)
Notes
- Use white or red onion if you'd like.
- Swap the Italian seasoning for a just basil and oregano.
- Add a sprinkle of garlic powder to each.
- Store in the refrigerator in an airtight container for up to 5 days.
- Reheat in the microwave on a microwave safe plate or in the oven on 325° F for about 10 minutes or until heated through.
