This Strawberry Smoothie is the ultimate fruity delight! Made with fresh, juicy strawberries, it's a drink that embodies the essence of summer. But we've taken it a step further by adding a touch of decadence with creamy half-and-half. This combination creates a velvety texture that will have you savoring every sip. Whether you're in need of a refreshing breakfast boost or a tasty afternoon treat, this strawberry smoothie is the answer. So grab your blender and get ready to experience the perfect balance of sweetness and creaminess in this delicious beverage. Ingredients

Servings
  • ½ cup milk optional to use non-dairy milk instead
  • ½ cup half and half optional to use non-dairy vanilla coffee creamer instead
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries steamed and washed
  • ½ cup low-fat strawberry or vanilla-flavored yogurt
  • 2 cups Ice cubes

Instructions

  1. Wash the strawberries and remove the stems if using fresh strawberries. Place the strawberries, half-and-half, milk, yogurt, and ice cubes into a blender. Blend on high speed until all the ingredients are well combined, and the mixture is smooth and creamy with no fruit pieces remaining. Pour the strawberry smoothie into glasses and serve immediately. If desired, you can garnish the smoothie with a sprinkle of crushed freeze-dried strawberries.
  2. Feel free to modify this recipe based on your preferences. You can add additional fruits, adjust the sweetness, or incorporate other ingredients like spinach or protein powder. Get creative and enjoy your homemade strawberry smoothie!

Notes

  • How to Store
  • We don't recommend storing strawberry smoothies after preparation as it may affect the taste and texture.
  • How to Make-Ahead
  • We recommend enjoying strawberry smoothies fresh and right after preparation for the best taste and texture.
  • How to Freeze
  • While some sources may recommend freezing strawberry smoothies, we don't recommend it, as freezing can affect the taste and texture, potentially resulting in a less desirable smoothie experience. It's best to enjoy strawberry smoothies fresh and right after preparation for the optimal taste and texture.
