French Onion Dip

This delicious French onion dip is made from scratch with your own homemade dry onion soup mix! The perfect vegetable and chip dip for parties!

Ingredients
- 1 batch onion soup mix see notes
- 1 1/2 cups sour cream
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 2 tablespoons fresh chives finely minced
Instructions
- Combine all ingredients together in a large bowl. Adjust seasonings if desired.
- Cover and place in the refrigerator for a few hours so that the dry onions soften.
- Serve with vegetables and chips.
Notes
- Use one package of commercial dry onion soup mix if wanted, or use my onion soup mix!
- Play around with the ratio of mayo and sour cream
- Use low fat mayo and sour cream if desired
