Garlic Parmesan Wings

These garlic parmesan wings are crispy golden brown chicken wings coated in garlic, butter, herbs and cheese. A quick and easy appetizer that is sure to satisfy!

  • 3 pounds party style chicken wings
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder do NOT use baking soda
  • 1 1/4 teaspoons kosher salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 2 teaspoons garlic minced
  • 2 tablespoons parsley chopped
  • 3 tablespoons Parmesan Cheese grated

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees. Line a sheet pan with foil and place a non stick oven safe rack on top of the pan.
  2. Place the chicken wings in a large bowl. Add in the baking powder, salt, pepper, garlic powder and onion powder.
  3. Toss to coat the chicken evenly with the baking powder and spices.
  4. Place the wings on the rack in a single layer.
  5. Bake for 45 minutes or until wings are golden brown and crispy.
  6. Place the butter and garlic in a small bowl. Microwave in 30 second increments until the butter is melted.
  7. Let the butter cool for 2-3 minutes, then stir in the parsley and parmesan.
  8. Pour the butter mixture over the wings and toss to coat. Serve immediately, with a dipping sauce of your choice if desired.

Notes

  • Party style chicken wings are pre-cut with the drumette separated from the flat. If you can't find this type of wing, you can simple cut regular wings in half crosswise for a similar effect.
  • Baking the wings on a rack helps to ensure that they get crispy on all sides. If you don't have a rack, you can simply place the wings on the aluminum foil, but be sure to coat the foil with cooking spray first. If you're not using a rack, you can also flip the wings halfway through the cooking process.
