Instructions
- First, wash and pat dry the potatoes.
- Cut the potatoes lengthwise. Then, slice them again into wedges.
- For extra crispy wedges, boil the potatoes for 15 to 20 minutes, or until fork tender. This removes the starch and allows the potatoes to remain fluffy inside while becoming crispy on the outside.
- Drain and pat the potatoes dry. Toss the potato wedges with olive oil, sea salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
- Arrange in a single layer (do not overlap) in your air fryer basket. Air fry at 400 degrees Fahrenheit for 10 minutes. Then, flip over and cook for an additional 10 minutes. Add more time as needed.
- Finally, remove the potato wedges from the air fryer. Serve!
Notes
- Russet potatoes, golden yellow potatoes, and sweet potatoes all work well in this recipe.
- I highly recommend boiling the potatoes to remove the starch. This allows the potatoes to get crispy on the outside and fully cooked through internally.
- If you don’t have time to boil the potatoes, this recipe will still turn out well but the potatoes won’t be quite as fluffy inside.
- Since all air fryers are different, yours may require more or less time to cook.
- Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 4 days.
- Reheat in the air fryer with a spray of olive oil spray.
