Ground Turkey Chili

Ingredients
- 1 pound ground turkey
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- ½ yellow onion (diced)
- 1 red bell pepper (diced)
- 2 can red kidney beans (drained and rinsed)
- 1 can crushed tomatoes (15 ounces)
- 1 can diced tomatoes (15 ounces)
- 2 Tablespoons chili powder
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 Tablespoon minced garlic
- 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups chicken broth

Instructions
- Heat the olive oil in a large pot over medium heat.
- Add in the onion and red bell pepper. Sauté for approximately 5 minutes until the veggies are soft.
- Add in the ground turkey and brown the ground turkey. Break up the turkey as it cooks and cook until the ground turkey is no longer pink.
- Add in the remaining ingredients and stir to combine.
- Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce heat and allow the mixture to simmer for about 20-30 minutes until the flavors are combined and the chili has thickened.
- Serve with your favorite chili toppings and enjoy!
Notes
- Refrigerate the leftovers in an airtight container for up to 5 days.
- If you are sensitive to spicy, omit the cayenne pepper from the recipe.
