Hamburger Steak with Mushroom Gravy is an easy recipe made with seasoned ground beef simmered in a rich and creamy mushroom sauce. Ready in under 30 minutes, this is the ultimate classic comfort food.

Ingredients
Hamburger Steaks:
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 1/2 pounds ground beef
- 1/3 cup plain breadcrumbs
- 2 tablespoons onion finely diced
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 tablespoon ketchup
- 1 tablespoon BBQ sauce
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 egg
- 3 cloves garlic minced
- 3/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
Mushroom Gravy:
- 5 tablespoons butter
- 8 ounces sliced mushrooms I used baby bella mushrooms
- 1 small onion finely chopped
- 4 cloves garlic minced
- 3 tablespoons flour
- 1 1/2 cups beef broth
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon chopped fresh rosemary
- 1 tablespoon chopped parsley
- salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
Hamburger Steaks:
- Combine the steak ingredients, except olive oil, in a large bowl and stir until well mixed.
- Shape the meat into 4-5 equal sized oval-shaped patties and set aside.
- Place a large frying pan over high heat and add the oil.
- Once the oil is hot, add the patties and cook 4-5 minutes per side or until nicely browned. Remove from the pan, place on a plate and cover with foil to keep warm.
Mushroom Gravy:
- Reduce heat to medium-high and melt the butter in the same pan.
- Add the mushrooms and onion, season with salt and pepper and cook stirrin for 5-6 minutes or until tender and browned.
- Add the garlic and rosemary and cook for 30 seconds.
- Add the flour to the pan, stir constantly and cook for 1 minute.
- Slowly add the beef broth and whisk until smooth.
- Bring the sauce to a simmer and cook for 3-4 minutes, or until thickened.
- Stir in the Worcestershire sauce.
- Add the hamburger steaks back to the pan, spoon sauce on top to coat themin the gravy.
- Reduce heat to medoim-low and cook for another 5-7 minutes or until warmed through.
- Sprinkle with parsley, fresh rosemary and serve.
