Honeydew Popsicle
Description
The recipe starts with whipping heavy cream until thick but not overbeaten, creating a light base. Sweetened condensed milk adds sweetness and creaminess, while honeydew flavored boba powder imparts a distinctive melon taste. Milk is incorporated to balance the texture, allowing the mixture to be smooth and pourable for freezing.
The popsicle mixture is poured into silicone molds that lay flat, allowing easier removal once frozen. The method of pouring some mixture, inserting the stick, then filling the mold helps stabilize popsicle sticks in the creamy mixture. The popsicles freeze for at least eight hours or overnight to solidify fully.
These popsicles have a creamy, smooth mouthfeel unlike traditional fruit juice popsicles. They can be individually wrapped in plastic for convenient storage in the freezer. Choosing lay-flat silicone molds is important as pull-out molds may weaken or break the creamy popsicles when removed.
