How to Make Hummus

Want to learn how to make hummus at home? This recipe takes 10-minutes and will be 110 times better than store-bought hummus. It's creamier, healthier, and more delicious.

Ingredients
- 2 – 540ml cans of chickpeas strained, drained and rinsed
- ¾ cup Tahini
- 6 garlic cloves
- Juice of 2 large lemons
- 2 tsp salt
- 2 tsp garlic powder
- 2 tsp onion powder
- ½ tsp cracked black pepper
- ½ tsp cumin
- ½ tsp red chili flakes
- 3 tbsp olive oil
- ¾ cup cold water
- 1/3 cup fresh parsley chopped
Instructions
- Rinse + drain the chickpeas and add them to the food processor.
- Add the tahini, garlic cloves, salt, garlic powder, onion powder, cracked black pepper, cumin, red chili flakes, and olive oil to the food processor.
- Blend on high until almost completely smooth.
- Scrape the sides down in-between blending.
- While blending, slowly stream in the cold water until completely smooth. Adjust the seasoning to taste.
- Transfer the hummus to a serving dish and use a spoon to spread around evenly- making a small well in the center.
- Stream extra olive oil on top and into the well, and sprinkle the top with fresh parsley!
- Serve with prepared fresh veggies and toasted pita bread! TASTY!
