Juicy Turkey Burgers
Report
Turkey burgers have less fat, less shrinkage, and a little more density than regular burgers. They are perfect for the grill!

Ingredients
- 1 pound ground turkey not extra lean
- 2 slices Bacon uncooked, diced
- 2 tablespoons seasoned bread crumbs
- 2 tablespoons barbecue sauce plus extra for basting if desired
- 1 tablespoon grated onion
- 1 egg yolk
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- salt and black pepper
For Serving
- hamburger buns
- toppings as desired such as lettuce, tomato, onion

Instructions
- Gently combine all ingredients in a bowl.
- Form into 4 patties, ½" thick. Using your thumb, create a small indent in the middle of the patties. Refrigerate 30 minutes
- Preheat grill to medium-high heat. Brush patties with barbecue sauce and grill 6-8 minutes per side or until cooked through (165°F).
- Serve on hamburger buns with desired toppings.
Notes
- If you don't want to use bacon, substitute about 1 ½ to 2 tablespoons of cold butter shredded with a cheese grater.
- Preheat the oven to 350°F and bake on a parchment-lined pan for 25-30 minutes or until they reach 165°F.
- Nutritional information is for the turkey burger patties only.
- Leftover burgers can be wrapped in plastic wrap or stored in an airtight container for up to 3-4 days. Reheat on the grill or in the microwave and serve on fresh buns.
