There's nothing like a side dish of mashed sweet potatoes sweetened with maple syrup. These creamy potatoes are perfect for holiday meals and weeknight suppers.

Ingredients
- 2-3 pounds sweet potatoes
- 1/4 cup half and half
- 1/4 cup maple syrup
- 2 tablespoons salted butter
- 1/8 teaspoon ground cloves
- 1/8 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1/8 teaspoon cinnamon
Instructions
- Fill a large saucepan with water and place on the stovetop over medium high heat to bring the water to a boil.
- Peel 2-3 pounds of sweet potatoes.
- Cut the potatoes in 1-1 1/2" chunks.
- Once the water is boiling, place the potato chunks in to cook.
- Boil for around 15 minutes or until the potatoes are fork-tender.
- Drain the water off the potatoes and place the potatoes in a large bowl.
- Add the half and half, syrup, butter and seasonings. Use a hand mixer or a potato masher to mash the potatoes.
- Serve warm.
