Miso Sesame Ginger Dressing

The Miso Sesame Ginger Dressing blends fresh ginger, white miso, and a balance of oils and vinegars for a smooth, flavorful dressing. It combines the umami depth of miso with the nuttiness of toasted sesame oil, bright lime juice, and honey's subtle sweetness. This versatile dressing works well with salads, roasted vegetables, or as a dip, offering a rich and tangy taste with a hint of warmth from ginger and sesame seeds.

Description

Miso Sesame Ginger Dressing incorporates minced fresh ginger and white miso to provide a distinctive umami and spicy foundation. The mixture of canola and toasted sesame oils adds both a neutral base and a nutty aroma. Lime juice offers acidity to brighten the dressing, while honey balances the savory and tart components with sweetness. Soy sauce and two types of vinegar—rice and apple cider—introduce complexity and depth.

The dressing is whisked or shaken to emulsify the ingredients, resulting in a smooth and cohesive texture. Sesame seeds provide a subtle crunch and enhance the sesame flavor. This dressing's balance of salty, sweet, tangy, and savory notes makes it suitable for a variety of uses, from salad dressings to marinades and dipping sauces.

It can be stored refrigerated for about a month, maintaining its flavor and freshness. For vegan options, honey can be replaced with sugar or agave syrup. Shaking or stirring just before serving helps maintain its emulsified state, ensuring the texture remains consistent.
