Ingredients
- 1 teaspoon Butter for greasing
- 1 teaspoon flour after greasing the pan
- 120 grams butter ½ cup
- 200 grams sugar 1 cup
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 eggs lightly beaten
- 70 grams flour ½ cup
- 40 grams unsweetened cocoa powder ⅓ cup
- ¼ teaspoon baking powder
- ¼ teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 °F/ 175 °C (fan) then grease and flour an 8-inch square pan.
- Melt the butter in a small saucepan and remove from the heat.
- Stir in the sugar using a wooden spoon, then the eggs and vanilla till combined.
- Next add the cocoa powder, flour, salt and baking powder and stir gently.
- Pour the mixture into the baking pan and bake for 25 minutes. Remove and cool in the pan before turning out and slicing.
