Peanut Butter Bon Bons

Peanut Butter Bon Bons are no-bake treats combining graham cracker crumbs, powdered sugar, flaked coconut, softened butter, vanilla, and creamy peanut butter rolled into bite-sized balls then dipped in melted chocolate. Chilled until firm, they offer a sweet, creamy center with a crisp chocolate shell, resembling bite-sized dessert candies.

Description

The base mixture is made by blending graham cracker crumbs, powdered sugar, and flaked coconut, then adding softened butter, vanilla extract, and creamy peanut butter until fully combined. The mixture is portioned into small balls and chilled to firm up.

Each ball is then dipped partially or fully into melted chocolate chips or candy melts and set on a baking sheet to harden. The contrast between the smooth, rich peanut butter center and the crisp chocolate coating makes these bon bons a satisfying treat.

These bon bons can be stored at room temperature in an airtight container or kept refrigerated. They are also suitable for freezing after initial chilling: freeze on a tray first, then transfer to a container to help maintain their shape.

Some enjoy eating the peanut butter mixture as a safe cookie dough alternative since it contains no raw eggs, making it a versatile snack beyond just the bon bons.

  • 1 cup peanut butter creamy

Notes

  • Freeze bon bons by initially setting them on wax or parchment paper in the freezer for an hour, then transferring to an airtight container.
  • The peanut butter mixture is safe to eat raw and can be enjoyed like cookie dough since it contains no eggs.
