Spring Mix Salad with Sweet Miso Dressing

This Spring Mix Salad combines fresh greens like spring mix and radish sprouts with sliced avocado, radish, cherry tomatoes, and mint leaves tossed in a sweet miso dressing. The dressing balances savory miso, tangy rice vinegar, and toasted sesame oil and seeds to add a nutty aroma that complements the refreshing crisp vegetables and creamy avocado.

Description

The salad features a base of crisp spring mix lettuce with the addition of sliced radishes and cherry tomatoes for zesty freshness and color contrast. Sliced avocado adds a creamy texture, while fresh mint leaves introduce mild herbal notes. Optional radish sprouts contribute an extra touch of peppery bite and texture.

The Sweet Miso Dressing is made by whisking together miso paste, rice vinegar, toasted sesame oil, and ground toasted white sesame seeds. This blend results in a slightly sweet, mildly tangy, and nutty dressing that coats the ingredients evenly, enhancing their natural flavors without overpowering them.

The salad is best enjoyed freshly tossed to preserve the crispness and prevent avocado browning. It works well as a light starter or side dish alongside a variety of meals. The miso-based dressing offers a subtle umami depth that complements the bright vegetables and herbs well.
