Sukiyaki Sauce Recipe

Use this delicious sweetened soy sauce in the traditional way to stew meat and a variety of vegetables tableside. Or use it as a braising liquid, a dipping sauce or noodle seasoning.

Ingredients
- ⅔ cup mirin
- ⅔ cup sake
- ⅔ cup soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons sugar
Instructions
- Place all of the ingredients in a small saucepan and bring to a boil over medium heat.
- Stir until the sugar dissolves. Remove from the heat and set it aside until needed. Or refrigerate the sukiyaki sauce in an airtight container for up to one month.
Notes
- Mix 2 cups of sukiyaki sauce with 1 ½ cups of dashi broth to make the sukiyaki cooking liquid.
