Ingredients

  • 500 grams milk 2 cups plus 1 1/2 tablespoons
  • 50 grams granulated sugar 1/4 cup
  • 90 grams egg From 5 large eggs, yolk
  • 1 gram vanilla bean seeds split from one pod in half and scraped

Instructions

  1. On medium heat, add the milk, sugar, and vanilla pod in a saucepan and bring to a boil.
  2. In another bowl, beat the egg yolks with a whisk then incorporate them with the milk mixture stirring constantly.
  3. Increase the heat to medium-high and cook until the cream thickens.
  4. Pour the custard into ramekins and allow to cool at room temperature for 15 minutes then place into the refrigrator for at least one hour.
  5. Enjoy!
