Yum Yum Sauce
Description
This Yum Yum Sauce blends mayonnaise with ketchup and melted butter to build a creamy base sweetened by sugar and seasoned with paprika, garlic powder, and a touch of hot sauce. The mixture is whisked smooth and thinned with water to adjust thickness depending on its use as a dip or drizzle. Its flavor profile delivers subtle heat balanced by sweet and savory notes.
The sauce pairs well with various Asian-style grilled meats, seafood, or vegetable dishes, lending a creamy tangy contrast. Storing the sauce in the refrigerator maintains freshness for up to two weeks, making it convenient to prepare in advance and use as needed.
Ingredients
- 1 cup mayonnaise
- 2 tbsp ketchup
- 2 tbsp butter melted
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 1/2 tsp paprika
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp hot sauce (franks or tabasco)
- 1+ tbsp water
Instructions
- Whisk all ingredients except water together until a smooth sauce is formed.
- Whisk water into sauce until it is the desired consistency. I use 1 tbsp for dipping, but you may want slightly more if you want to drizzle it.
- Serve drizzled over your favorite Asian foods. Store in the refrigerator for up to two weeks.
