Flavorful air fried mushrooms are a diet-friendly, versatile side dish.

Ingredients
- 1 pound (450g) mushrooms
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 ½ teaspoons balsamic vinegar optional
- ⅓ teaspoon white pepper
- ⅓ teaspoon garlic powder
- ⅓ teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- onion salt to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the air fryer to 390 degrees F / 200 degrees C.
- Clean the mushrooms then cut into bite sized pieces.
- Combine the olive oil, dry seasonings and balsamic vinegar (if desired) in a bowl.
- Add the mushrooms to the seasoning and mix until well coated.
- Spread the mushrooms in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Cook for 10-13 minutes, shaking several times during cooking until the mushrooms are tender and golden.
- Serve hot or warm. Garnish with fresh herbs if desired.
Notes
- Wipe the mushrooms with a damp paper towel to remove any dirt.
- Quarter or half the mushrooms into bite-sized pieces.
- You do not need to remove the mushroom stems.
- Not a fan of onion salt? Use kosher salt to taste instead.
- Balsamic vinegar is optional but adds to the rich, earthy, umami flavor.
