Ingredients

  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 3 cloves garlic sliced in half
  • 1/2 cup Frank's Hot Sauce
  • 2 teaspoons white vinegar
  • 1/4 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce 
  • 1/8 teaspoon Cayenne pepper powder
  • 1 pound large or jumbo shrimp

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit and prepare a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a small saucepan, melt the butter over medium-low heat. Once melted, add the halved garlic cloves to the butter and saute them for about 2 minutes, or until they become fragrant. Strain out the garlic and discard.
  3. Stir in the Frank's hot sauce, white vinegar, Worcestershire sauce and cayenne pepper. Allow the sauce to simmer for another 5 to 6 minutes, stirring occasionally. Taste the sauce and adjust the seasonings according to your preference if needed. Let it cool to room temperature.
  4. Add the shrimp to a large bowl and pour the prepare sauce in, reserving about 3 tablespoons. Mix until all the shrimp are evenly coated, then arrange them on the prepared baking sheet in a single layer.
  5. Bake the shrimp for 7 minutes.
  6. Remove the baking sheet from the oven, flip the shrimp over and brush with the reserved buffalo sauce, ensuring they are well coated.
  7. Return the baking sheet to the oven and continue baking for 3 minutes or until they are cooked through and curled.
  8. Serve with celery, ranch and blue cheese, if desired.

Notes

  • The buffalo shrimp can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Do not freeze the shrimp as it does not keep well.
