Ingredients
BISCUITS
- 2 cups flour
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 dash cayenne pepper
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter *melted
- 1 1/2 cups cheddar cheese *shredded
TOPPING
- 3 tablespoon unsalted butter *melted
- 1 tablespoon parsley leaves
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and cayenne pepper.
- In a separate bowl, combine the buttermilk and 1/2 cup unsalted butter.
- Pour mixture over the dry ingredients and stir until just moist.
- Fold in the Cheddar cheese.
- Using a 1/4 cup measuring cup, scoop the mixture onto a baking sheet (lined with tin foil or a silicone baking mat).
- Bake in a preheated oven, at 450 degrees, for about 10-12 minutes, or until slightly golden brown.
- Remove from oven once baked, and in a small bowl, combine the unsalted butter, parsley, and garlic powder.
- Brush mixture onto the biscuits while biscuits are hot. Serve!!
