This easy and delicious apple crisp recipe is naturally gluten-free, made with juicy apples, warm cinnamon and a hearty oat topping.

Ingredients
- 8 apples (cored and thinly sliced)
- 2 teaspoons cinnamon (divided)
- 2 cups Gluten Free Oats
- ½ cup almond meal or flour
- ½ cup chopped walnuts
- ⅓ cup pure maple syrup
- ¼ cup extra virgin olive oil
- ½ teaspoon nutmeg
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon ground ginger
- vanilla ice cream (to serve, optional )
Instructions
- Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees.
- In a medium bowl, toss apples with half of the apples (1 teaspoon cinnamon.) Place cinnamon-scented apples in the bottom of a 9″ x 13″ baking dish.
- In a medium bowl, toss together all remaining ingredients: oats through ground ginger. Spread oat mixture evenly on top of apples.
- Bake until oat topping is golden brown and apples are warm and bubbly, about 45 minutes. Serve with a scoop of vanilla ice cream if you wish.
