Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350. Prepare the baking sheet by lining with parchment paper or aluminum foil and cooking spray.
- Remove the little smokies from their package and lay on a paper towel to dry.
- Cut the crescent rolls into strips that are about the same width as the little smokies with a knife.
- Wrap the strips around the little smokies and lay into the prepared baking sheet. Allow room between the wrapped smokies so that the oven heat can effectively circulate around the smokies.
- Bake for 10 minutes. Remove from the oven when the dough is puffed and slightly browned and the little smokie is sizzling. Serve hot
Notes
- Little Smokies tend to be kind of wet right out of the package and if they are wet, the crescent rolls don't want to adhere very well. It's best to dry them a bit with a towel before wrapping.
- The crescent rolls must be cut into pieces to wrap around the smokies, this isn't an exact practice and doesn't have to be any particular shape, just a piece that goes around will work. However, if you can cut into strips approximately the size of the little smoky, that works best.
- Crescent Rolls puff when you cook them slightly, be sure to leave room between the wrapped little smokies on the baking sheet so that they don't stick together when they puff when you cook them.
- These are best when served with a sauce. Ketchup will do but consider a good cheese sauce, ranch dressing, yum yum sauce, etc.
- Allow enough for your guests. If serving for a party or pot luck then be sure you have 2-3 per person.
