Ingredients

  • 12 ounces thick bacon or center cut
  • 2 tablespoons honey

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400ºF.
  2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  3. Lay the bacon flat in a single layer on the parchment paper.
  4. Drizzle the honey over the slices of bacon. Evenly divide it among all slices of bacon.
  5. Bake the bacon in the oven for 15-20 minutes. (You may need more or less time depending on the thickness of your bacon and your desired crispiness). Center cut will need closer to 15 minutes, while thick cut may need closer to 20 minutes.
  6. Remove them from the oven.
  7. Place the strips of bacon on a paper-towel lines plate to drain the additional grease.
  8. Serve and enjoy!

Notes

  • This recipe also works really well replacing the honey with maple syrup.
  • Try to keep the honey drizzle in thin layers on the bacon so that it can still crisp up properly in the oven.
  • A roasting rack is not necessary for making bacon in the oven.
