Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. In a bowl, combine the bananas, nut butter, and vanilla.
  3. Add in the cacao and protein. Mix well. Add in the milk and mix again. Let sit for 1-2 minutes.
  4. Mix in the chocolate chips & pecans. The batter will be thick and very sticky.
  5. Line an 8x4 baking pan with parchment paper and scrape the brownie batter into it.
  6. Use a spatula to press the protein brownies batter down evenly into all corners. Sprinkle the pecans over top.
  7. Bake for 22 minutes, turn the oven off and let cool inside.
  8. Slice into eight squares and enjoy!

Notes

  • Keep in mind that the batter for these protein brownies is thicker than a normal pour-based brownie mix. You won’t be pouring it into the pan so much as scraping.
  • This also means you need to use a spatula to press it into the bottom and even it out.
  • Make sure the chocolate protein brownies are completely cooled before slicing.
  • If you want the brownies to be even fudgier, remove them from the oven when they’re finished cooking. This makes it so that they still have that “undercooked”, fudge-like feel.
  • Know that using a different protein powder will result in a change to the texture. You may need to scale back the liquid or cook the brownies longer.
