  • 8 lices Bacon
  • 4 burger patties 6-ounces each
  • 4 lices Cheddar or Colby Jack Cheese
  • 4 potato buns
  • 1 avocado peeled, pitted and sliced
  • 4 eggs
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • ketchup for serving

Instructions

  1. Cook the bacon in a skillet over medium heat until crispy, about 10 minutes. Transfer to paper towels to drain excess grease.
  2. In the same skillet, cook the burger patties over medium-high heat for 4 to 5 minutes per side. Add a slice of cheese on top of each patty during the last minute of cooking to melt.
  3. Assemble the burgers by placing sliced avocado and bacon on the bottom halves of the buns, then add the cheese-topped burger patties. Keep them warm.
  4. Fry the eggs in the skillet to your desired doneness, season with salt and pepper, and place one egg on top of each burger. Complete the burger with the top half of the bun.
  5. Serve the burgers immediately with ketchup and additional salt and pepper, if desired.
